- Grade - A coin's grade refers to its physical state, as determined by a numismatic professional, using a coin grading scale.
Conditions: The Sheldon Scale is the industry standard for evaluating a coin's condition. A 70-point coin grading system created by Dr. William Herbert Sheldon in 1948, ranging from 1 (Poor) to 70 (Perfect Mint State).
